Long time friends and collaborators, Ari and Ben have teamed up to write, produce, and direct film and television projects. Ari and Ben's feature film directorial debut, 11:55, with John Leguizamo, and Julia Stiles, was released theatrically nationwide and is currently streaming on Showtime. Ari and Ben's first short film, Hector is Gonna Kill Nate, was nationally broadcast by PBS's On Story. Their most recent short, Home, premiered at the Cannes Film Festival. Ari and Ben have developed original television projects with HBO, BET, Channel 4, Lionsgate Entertainment, and Netflix. Their original TV pilot, Nobody's Nobody's, with Andre Holland and Michael K. Williams, is in development at Warner Brothers. They are both members of the Writers Guild of America.
Ari Issler is a filmmaker and cinematographer. He has shot documentaries, feature films, commercials, and music videos over six continents. Ari photographed the award-winning documentary, The Hip Hop Project (Think Films). He is a member of the International Cinematographer’s Guild (IATSE 600).
Ben Snyder is a playwright and educator. His plays have been produced at Center Stage NY, P.S. 122, The Vineyard Theater, Crossroads Theatre, The Apollo Theater, New York Stage and Film, and at HBO’s U.S. Comedy Arts Festival. Ben is a member of Labyrinth Theater Company. He was the Story Consultant for the award-winning documentary The Wolfpack, and a Staff Writer on the upcoming Netflix series GRAND ARMY. For the last 20 years, Ben has taught film and theater courses in high schools and colleges.
